
I give assignments like this in my Eye to Eye – Capturing the Face class here at BPSOP as some of the your best portraits of people might be not from directly in front of them, but from a different angle. It just takes a little thinking outside of the box and trying to come up with something different.

as there are really so many different angles to photograph people. or even capture them from ground level looking straight into their faces…. You can shoot them from above, looking down…or from the side…. But not often enough do we think of capturing them from another perspective.


as it usually gets the best perspective of your subject. Way too often, portraits are shot from right in front of your subject.
